What if Jason Voorhees and Freddy Krueger had a family reunion? The Gathering is Underworld meets X-Men in Friday the 13th's neck of the woods.

In the world of the Gathering, there are Boogeymen, undead homicidal mutants spread throughout the great forests. Their simple iconic names; STICKMAN; WRAITH; FATMAN; BLACK WIDOW, are whispered at campfires and used to keep children in bed at night. A new star in the sky is drawing them together. Why?

Enter the NIGHT SHIFT. A group of likable, paramilitary twenty-somethings, all survivors of Undead attacks. The SHIFTERS are dedicated to exposing and ultimately eliminating the Undead threat.

The Gathering turns typical horror action on its ear. Lumbering unstoppable killing machines stalking and maiming helpless teens may hold retro-appeal but really that’s just overdone and passé. The Gathering features a brood of deadly mutants, each with unique dark powers, engaging in fierce, exciting battle with each other as they cross paths throughout the film.

Wraith and the Black Widow tussle in a fogged-out trailer park launching RVs at each other. Stickman and the Beast go at it in Deepwater Tavern. Fatman and the Beast brawl along Main St. and end up at the gas station, which goes up in a giant pilar of flame. Sumner commands a legion of zombies to surround and attack the Shifters’ compound. They set it on fire and flood inside, the Shifters fight them off. Fatman appears to do battle with Stickman in the blazing great hall as the Shifters retreat.

The Gathering ties together enormously popular comic book action film with the highly marketable horror genre.
